What Are Vape Coils?

A vape coil is the small replaceable heating element inside your tank or pod that turns e-liquid into vapor. It consists of resistance wire wrapped around a wicking material, usually organic cotton or mesh. Coils are consumables: as the wicking saturates and degrades with use, flavor fades and the coil needs replacing, typically every one to two weeks.

Coils only fit their own series. A Caliburn G coil won't fit a Caliburn A device, so match the series on your box or old coil.

Pod or Coil?

Some devices replace the whole pod instead of the coil. If yours does, shop replacement pods.

Replacement Coil FAQs

How often should I replace coils?

When flavor fades or tastes burnt. For many vapers that's every one to two weeks.

Which resistance should I pick?

Lower ohms make more vapor at higher wattage; higher ohms give a tighter draw. See our coil guide.

Why did my new coil taste burnt?

It probably wasn't primed. Let a new coil soak in a filled tank for five minutes before vaping.
